Guard Royal Ivey signed a multiyear contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
Ivey has averaged 4 points, 1.5 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 14.3 minutes in 263 games over four seasons in the NBA. A second-round pick by Atlanta in 2004, Ivey played three seasons with the Hawks and one in Milwaukee.
The 6-foot-4 Ivey has started 109 games and shot 42.1 percent from the floor, including 33.1 percent from 3-point range.

–Sixers president Ed Stefanski said he has talked with the agents for restricted free agents Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams. But Stefanski declined to elaborate on the discussions, saying he doesn’t negotiate in public. He also said he and coach Maurice Cheeks have discussed a contract extension — Cheeks signed on for 2008-09 on Feb. 20 — and are hopeful they’ll agree to one this summer.
